Manitoba SDC Sleep Program

About Manitoba Sleep Health program

Manitoba residents that meet certain criteria are eligible for partially subsidized coverage for their CPAP/APAP/BiPAP Machine and initial supplies (tubing, mask, filters) every five (5) years when they purchase their CPAP/APAP/BiPAP at CPAP Machines Canada.

Any Manitoba resident, regardless of whether utilizing the government program or not, may purchase their CPAP supplies online or at any CPAP Machines Canada without requiring a prescription or Vendor update form from the Sleep Disorder Centre.

What is covered:

  • New CPAP/APAP/BiPAP Machine (every 5 years)
  • New Heated CPAP Tubing with Machine (every 5 years)
  • New CPAP Mask with Machine (every 5 years)
  • New CPAP Filters with Machine (every 5 years)

You will be required to pay a $500 co-pay (eligible for Insurance reimbursement), with the balance for your new PAP system billed directly to the MB Government program.

What is not covered:

  • Replacement CPAP masks, tubing, filters, and supplies
  • CPAP batteries, travel devices, and cleaning accessories

CPAP Machines Canada works hard to maintain low prices on all our products, and most are eligible for Insurance reimbursement.

Eligibility Criteria for Subsidy:

To be eligible for the MB Government Program, you must:

  • Have a Sleep Study performed by the Sleep Disorder Center at Misericordia Health Centre in Winnipeg
  • Have a Prescription for CPAP Therapy from your Sleep Physician (your sleep physician may provide it to us directly)
  • Hold a valid Manitoba Health Card
  • Show 30 days of "compliant" CPAP use, meaning you use your machine for 4 or more hours per night for at least 21 nights in a 30-day period (our excellent clinical team will work with you to ensure comfortable and effective therapy to make compliance easy)

Once you have met the compliance guidelines, the government will cover the remainder of the fees which can be roughly $1500 or more, depending on your equipment. YOU own the machine once you pay the $500 “COPAY” portion, which comes with a 3 year warranty on the machine.

Any Manitoba resident who does not wish to access the Government program and prefers to purchase their equipment outright may do so at anytime! Order online or visit one of our stores today.
